The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA will be rendering solutions like new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency reported it is alarmed about the high number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a higher range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there read more is no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area each day. The service place developed for intervention experiences a high inflow of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it hard for the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more means to enable the servicing of all consumers and enhance use of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
